I used to love going in this store, but recently visiting it has been more of a hassle than something I enjoy. Management needs to take a stand and require their employees to actually *work*.
A few experiences.
Decent prices. Great staff.
Does anyone work at this store???? Each time I go in this store it is a struggle to find an employee for help. If I am lucky enough to find one, 9 times out of 10 they are hiding behind a rack of clothes playing on their phone. Today when I was in, a cashier was turned away from the register, slouched over the counter, chatting with a friend. When she realized I was waiting to check out, she stared at me until I moved to the counter. I was in the store for approximately 30 minutes and I only saw one employee other than the cashier, who was working in the shoe department. He traveled all the way to the front of the store to help a customer on the register because there was no one else to be found!
1) Bought soccer cleats. $49.99 marked down to $35.99. Sweet! Hey look my box says $29.99. Manager comes out to fix price at the register. OK not bad but you marked up the cleats to then discount then for more then you sold them for in the first place.
Nice place with pleasant and helpful employees. Had everything we wanted.
The product selection at this store is great, BUT-
The discounts they offer don't work on already discounted/sale items. Well if they wouldn't mark it all up just to mark it back down for the "sale" it would be fine.
3) Bought some stuffed item for my daughter. Some bear item. Got to the car and it has a rip. Was told to just put it back on the shelf and grab another. Sooooo someone else is getting a ripped bear for their child.
Furthermore, few of the items I was there to purchase were in proper size order. I understand that having a steady flow of customers can cause disarray, but an effort should be made to keep things tidy.
Very nice selection of outdoor goods. Prices are pretty good to.
2) Folding chair that you get for soccer games, sporting events, etc, etc. On sale from $19.99 to $9.99. Sticker on the bin holding the chairs. $8.99 sticker partially removed to now show the lower price. Was ripped so you didn't have the middle of the numbers.
